Corus New Zealand is part of Corus International which provides tailored products and services to metals customers globally. Corus New Zealand markets the multi-metals product range and services of the Corus group, together with the range of standard and special grade stainless steel products from Outokumpu Stainless. Local processing facilities compliment mill production capabilities, by tailoring supply to suit local demands. Depending on supply and price requirements, product can be sourced ex-mill production (indent), from an overseas service centre or stockist, or ex-stock New Zealand.
Corus New Zealand has a staff of over 80, located at 8 regional branches throughout New Zealand. Exports to the Pacific Islands are regularly arranged via our Auckland office. Our office in Melbourne supplies the multi-metals needs of the Australian market.
Many niche products and brands from other suppliers have been added to our business to compliment our already impressive capabilities. In recent times we have begun the manufacture of an innovative composite flooring (decking) system, ComFlor 210, supplying design features and savings in construction time & costs. 2003 saw a significant investment in start-up stocks of Engineering Steel bars and cutting facilities. Applications for these materials range from general machining through to turbine blading bar and specialist aerospace grades.
Apart from supplying quality products and service, significant technical support is offered to engineers, architects, fabricators, end users, and industry organisations. Both Corus Group and Outokumpu Stainless provide full technical support from their Research & Development teams in England and Sweden respectively.
